We hiked the Hieroglyphic Trail in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona.
I had to get a pic of this cool looking cactus. Did Howard photo bomb me?
Looking back at the parking lot from the trail you can see the "Silly Mountain" in the background. Later on, Howard and I had a Cigar on top of the lower peak on the right hand side of that mountain.
Looking up the mountain from early on the trail. Can you see the balancing rock at the top on the right center?
I better view of the balancing rock from further up the trail.
We encountered this little ponds that are filled by the Hieroglyphic Spring.
Another pond.
Amazing Hieroglyphics
How old are this Hieroglyphs?
So many Hieroglyphs.
Many symbols seem to be describing a hunt.
More Hieroglyphs
What is the squiggly line with the roundish head and the eyes?
Strange drawings
A whole gallery
We took a break from the sun in this boulder covered cave. Lot's of people enjoying the trail today.
The hike was more of a challenge than we thought it would be and there were so many Hieroglyphs. We highly recommend hiking the Hieroglyph Trail when you visit Arizona.
